Hello everyone! If your reading this then I would love to welcome you back to our journey on cooking together!

I have been trying to find something that really clicked with this part of my blog, something that meant a lot to me, and something that is a major part of my journey continued journey. I have always lived on a budget, not just as an adult, but as a child. No, my family was considered middle class, we didn't starve, but I realize now as an adult, that my parents were very careful with their funds every month. There were bills to pay and food to purchase every month. This was at a time where food was no where near expensive, but there were six of us in the family and money can only go so far.

We lived in a small town that, at the time, allowed animals to be raised within the town limits. We had two cows, chickens, ducks, and at one time we had rabbits. We even had a turkey one year, mean though he was. We had fresh eggs every day, which was a blessing that I had no idea about at the time. But they also had to be fed, which took more money. I got up early every morning and went out to feed the animals, in the winter I even broke the waters with an ax!

We even had a small garden a couple of times, but I can honestly say that I don't remember how they turned out. I know that we got some out of it but I don't have many memories about it, except being pulled out to weed. Honestly, I preferred to spend hours cutting the grass around the property! I hated weeding!

Where am I going with this you ask? Frugal living is being able to survive on limited funds, finding deals, and finding ways to survive the best way possible without killing your account. I am not telling you to find property in the middle of nowhere to start a farm, what I want to talk about here are different ways that I am relearning, or finding, in how to survive when you have no extra money to spare. What I want us to learn together how to live life and still be able to have some of the stuff that we absolutely love.

So let's continue our journey together and learn how to survive in the world that we live in today, minds open, and love flowing!
